Qatar Airways has announced new destinations in Pakistan and said that the airline is launching services in two further cities of Pakistan, specifically Sialkot and Faisalabad on sequential days. There will be three passenger and cargo flights to Faisalabad and four passenger and cargo flights for Sialkot every week.
Sialkot was an air cargo destination of Qatar Airways since 2008 and the airline was directly approaching the airport. Sialkot is one of the largest industrial cities of Pakistan and has a high volume of goods and cargo to handle every week. These products include textile, and sports goods being exported from the city of Sialkot.
Now the Qatar Airways has added a passenger flight to its schedule at the Sialkot International Airport. Three additional flights to Faisalabad are also announced for the first time. Apart from these announcements, the Qatar Airways have also announced that the Multan International Airport will join the party in a few weeks and three flights for the city of Multan every week from August.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said that Qatar Airways has an enduring promise to be in Pakistan and we are pleased to run an outstandingly ample route network covering the length and breadth of the country.
There are a large number of Pakistani expatriates are working in Qatar and the Gulf Countries. The launch of these new termini will allow us to swiftly meet the targets and the growing demand of these itinerants. With the launch of its new flights to Pakistani cities of Faisalabad and Sialkot, Qatar Airways has plans to operate Airbus A320 on these routes for the passengers with twelve business class and 132 economy class seats to facilitate all kinds of passengers.
It is appropriate and necessary to remark here that Qatar Airways currently has 45 visits of four Pakistani cities in a week where it has double daily flights for Karachi, Lahore and the capital of Pakistan. It has three weekly flights to Peshawar, three to Faisalabad and four for Sialkot. Karachi was the first city of Pakistan, where Qatar Airways launched its services in 1995. They have started its operations in Peshawar in 1998, followed by Lahore in 1999 and Islamabad in 2004. Now, Qatar Airways will operate with an even busy schedule in Pakistan.
