Russia’s willingness to join the 46 billion USD project, the CPEC

It is already in hot news of CPEC that China and Pakistan are building the nearly 3000-km long economic corridor linking Gwadar port on the Arabian Sea with Muslim-majority Xinjiang province to improve connectivity between the two countries.

This step would open up a new and cheaper cargo route for transporting Oil to China as well as export of Chinese goods to the Middle East and Africa. Pakistan Cargo industry is on its way towards the peak of cargo success.

PM Nawaz Sharif Approves Russian Entry

Prime Minister of Nawaz Sharif did a two-day visit to Turkmenistan and was pleased to entertain Russian’s interest in the becoming part of the CPEC and maintained that Pakistan would welcome any country in the participation of this gigantic project.

He also addressed to the journalists by telling them that there are lots of other countries who are willing to participate in the mega CPEC project as half of the world would benefit from the project.

Russia’s Willingness to Join CPEC

According to the Daily Newspaper, “On top of it, Russia also wants to join the USD 46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to reap the maximum dividends. In addition, Russia aspires to develop strategic defence ties with Pakistan”. Russia has showed its willingness to be the part of this world class project. The Arabian Sea is the main hub of sea cargo and is the vital part of the world to grow business. That’s why not only Russia, but also many of the countries are in willingness to join CPEC.

Later in the news, Pakistan has also approved Russian request to use the strategic Gwadar Port for its exports, signalling a new alignment in bilateral relations after decades of sour ties during the cold war era.

It’s just the start of the CPEC operations and world’s prominent country6 Russia has showed its willingness. It’s just the beginning, there are many more other proposals which are yet to reveal.
