Recently the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) has introduced a new admission system for its certification programs for transportation and logistics companies, seeing to the execution of industry’s leading security standards to support and defend the customer assets and freight from cargo criminals. It is available for both TAPA members and non-members.
The primary goal of this program is to lead the new worldwide promotion of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) to enhance the number of TAPA’s certified warehouses as well as the trucking operation into the Europe, America and in Asia to protect cargo deliveries.
During the previous month, the Association indicated a three-year aim to show the double number of TAPA-certified facilities to 2,000 in global and to create a significant bound in many trucking companies obeying with its Trucking Security Requirements (TSR).
Facilities Security Requirements (FSR) and TSR of TAPA have been made by supply chain security experts to support the companies decrease the threat of theft from their supply chains.
The ambition of a new promotion of TAPA is to create warehouse and trucking operations further strong and gives its manufacturer followers an inclusive option of TAPA-certified traders.
To meet the requirements for admission self-certification, companies need the followings:
Every self-audit will be studied by TAPA and, if accepted, the proper certificate will be given. The self-certification course, support and information and teaching are free of cost for members of TAPA.
Nonmembers are not eligible for this opportunity and they will be requested to submit the fee.
Chairman of TAPA’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) zone Thorsten Neumann stated that this invention provides companies the facility to accept our entry-level security standards in a very proficient manner. In many cases, TAPA’s Facilities Security Requirements (FSR) Level ‘C’ and TSR Level ‘ 3’ Standards have already deliver the degree of better security required by companies, although many of TAPA’s members elect for the advanced independently-audited certification levels for their major processes.
At the admission stage, one in-house TAPA educated auditor can complete the authentication of numerous facilities so this is a very cost effective scheme for logistics and transport companies to show their supply chain security promise to clients. The Transported Asset Protection Association is assured that companies that have a professional approach to security will be ready to admission the TAPA certification course.
