British Airways are the major lodger of the Glasgow airport and it carries million tons of air cargo across the world every year.

Glasgow airport is serving as passenger airport and Glasgow Prestwick Airport is Scotland’s first committed freight airport serving the UK. A scheduled service of Cargolux and Air France from Glasgow Prestwick Airport has increased the freight volumes over 25% in the last 2 years.

But it is the secondary airport in Glasgow and Glasgow international airport has great importance for passenger flights. Records in June indicate passenger growth at Glasgow airport of 14.1 percent, again in third place and behind Milan Bergamo and Porto.

The first half of 2015 has been a successful time for Glasgow Airport. The airport showed it’s ever busiest month of April this year, when 665,000 passengers passed through Glasgow airport doors and showing a rise of 15.4% on the same period last year. There was also a fruitful increase in both international and national traffic, which increased by 20.4% and 10.9% singly and representing April its 26th successive month of growth. The ACI Europe report is only for air transport, which holds all sorts of civil aviation passenger flights. Director General of ACI Europe Olivier Jankovec remarked that the first six months of 2015 has seen solider passenger traffic growth in the European airport industry.
